Sony launches flagship FX9 camcorder with newly-developed Full-Frame¹ sensor, Fast Hybrid Auto Focus system and enhanced mobility features

Sony today unveils the PXW-FX9, its first XDCAM camcorder featuring an advanced 6K² Full-Frame sensor and Fast Hybrid Auto Focus (AF) system. The new flagship camcorder offers content creators greater creative capabilities to capture stunning images that truly resonate with audiences.

Building on the success of the PXW-FS7 and PXW-FS7M2, the FX9 uniquely combines high mobility with an advanced AF system, impressive bokeh and slow-motion capabilities thanks to its newly-developed sensor. The FX9 also inherits its colour science and Dual Base ISO 800/4000 from the VENICE digital motion picture camera and represents the ultimate tool of choice for documentaries, music videos, drama productions and all-round event shooting.

Following the 2019 FX9 roadshow we will have 5 Trade-In Meetings in January 2020.

These will be events were you can generate cash from selling your old camera and confirm your order on the FX9 with a deposit. Dates will be posted later. Meetings will be organised in Brussels, Belgium / Dublin, Ireland / Barcelona, Spain, Copenhagen, Denmark and Koln, Germany.

AAfter IBC Amsterdam - September 2019 :

We will update our Broadcast and Cine products partner program in distributing brands from China, Canada and Australia. These brands will be distributed and shipped from our EU warehouses with full CE and RoHS certification.

Starting Q4 2019 - EBDN Ltd. will focus on building and implementing edit and colorgrading suites for studio and mobile setups. We will be implementing 4K,6K and 8K workflows, HDR compatible.

We will  concentrate on sales/rentals and service contracts for SONY, RED and ARRI cameras.

EBDN Ltd. has a divison specialised in workshops and implementation of video and audio post-production suites. Color Grading suites are built around a Bowers & Wilkins, Dolby Atmos, SONY HDR monitors and DaVinci Resolve workflow.

Dolby Atmos introduces new features and tools to improve the mix, distribution, and playback of movies. Dolby Atmos adds the flexibility and power of dynamic audio objects, and the ability to render sounds above the listeners. As a result, movie- makers can place discrete sound elements within the soundscape, irrespective of specific playback loudspeaker configura- tions. Dolby Atmos also introduces new efficiencies to the postproduction process, allowing sound mixers to efficiently capture their creative intent and then, in real time, automatically generate and monitor Dolby Surround 7.1 and 5.1 versions. Dolby Atmos simplifies distribution—the audio essence and artistic intent is all contained in a track file within the Digital Cinema Package (DCP), which can be faithfully played back in a broad range of theatre configurations.
